Hi Loud family!!

Well.. our most current crazy story would be for our yearly camp trip.. Every year for memorial weekend we go camping up in the white mountains... (we are in AZ...) Its always nice weather... sometimes a little rain... but still nice and cool. We always stay for no less than a week... and as close to two weeks or more as we can. ;0)

We went this year... and we arrived at our spot on a Thursday evening. Now our spot.. is wayyyy back in the woods and well off the road. We have been able to put wood into piles for the fire... and do other things... and then come back the next year and its all the same as we left it... so no one really knows about our spot... (lucky us!!)

So anyways... we set up our tents.... We usually have three... the large three room one for sleeping quarters.... the large two room one for the kids to set up in for hanging out... relaxing... playing in... so they are out of the dirt but not in the middle of our beds.... then we also have a kitchen area we set up... under a shade tarp... and a seperate shower/porta potty area.,..

OK.. so we set up camp... in the evening... with a light drizzle of rain..... got our beds set up.. bunkered down for a good sleep.... woke up the next morning to about 8 inches of snow!!! It was crazy!! There is NEVER snow in this are.. in May!!! We have been going to this same spot ,, the same time every year for the last 14 yrs... and this was a first!! The snow stuck... and made everything cold, wet, and muddy.... the kids and I spent about four days in the truck sitting in fron of the heater vents.. we were soo cold at times... lol... It finally melted... like the day before we left... and so we got to enjoy the beautiful weather we normally get.. on the way out and home.

This trip tho... showed us how important it is to always be preprared for anything... you never know what will happen.... and it was just a good time because it was such crazy weather!!!

That i can relate too. We went to TN to help out with the tornadoes and our first night there it snowed and our heater went out. It was a crazy night.

From that time forward we have kept a couple spare electric heaters just in case.

Thanks,
Vern
